Evolution
of a Painting
Below is a small
(quarter sheet) painting I did in a workshop in October; I called it
"Seafood." Next to it is the photo reference I used; it's
one I took in Maine several years ago.

sheet watercolor, "Seafood"

I just repainted it,
larger and with more impact. This one
is called "Fresh Seafood," and is a half-sheet painting.

NEWS
In
November, about 25 painters from Southwestern Watercolor Society
decended on Denison, Texas (50 miles north of Dallas) for a two-day
plein air paint-out. We had great fun and produced more than
50
quality painings. I painted two, both near the old train
station. They shown at the top of my Plein Air page. All of these SWS
paintings will be in a show in Denison in March. Stay tuned.
In addition to the gallery paintings shown, I enjoy plein air
painting; click here
to see some of these paintings.
People
often want a
painting of their home, a vacation house or an old family
residence. I do these on a commission basis. Click here
